A while ago, I was dribbling over my pretty bashed-up Olympus XA, which I later sold to help fund going to Rome. I have now got my hands on a MINT XA, with a bright clear rangefinder patch (nearly unheard of!). It's beautiful. I will set up the light tent later and photograph it. I'm so glad to have another one.. I regretted selling it.. even for a worthy cause.
I don't think I've shown you my other beut.. this is an Olympus XA2 (commonly referred to as the poorman Lomo LC-A) .. but in red... also in near mint condition :)
Now all I need is a blue XA3 and a XA4 to complete the collection :) I recently photographed some of my beloved cameras.. as many as I could before my Rebel's battery ran out *rolls eyes* maybe I'll set up and shoot the rest later today. |

Nice collection. I have a few old 35 mm SLR bodies floating around. A nice Minolta and a very old Pentax. Not sure of the model number on the Pentax or what lenses I have for it, '60s vintage. Still have the manual!
I added you to my flicker contacts. I have not had a chance to look at anything other than the camera set.
*hugs*
Get them out and use them! Or give them to bella, sure she'll be able to get a trend going.. Film is still very much alive!
*grin* :) kool kool. I don't use flickr much apart from stalking through the forums.. but sometimes I have a photo uploading spree.
Bella does have a media class that includes a huge section on photography. Sadly the students are allowed to use digital. The previous years the students did have to do a story on film. They are given 3 24 exposure rolls of B&W and the first two are used to get the feel of shooting on film. Then the third is to tell the story. 16+ frames in a row have to be used. Cheri had a similar assignment in a college level course. I do like that idea. I am not sure that Bella would be ready for the all manual pentax but the Minolta body is an early '90s vintage. I have a photobucket account and the flicker. I like the photobucket's interface better. One of the guys that I went to Delmar with has a Picasa account. He likes it a lot. He does some fine macro work. http://picasaweb.google.com/cumbelandcreek/DelmarvaModelRrClub?authkey=FJJzNQ52BbI | |
